"Spit it out, Bones."
Doctor Leonard McCoy choked on his glass of ale and took a few minutes to catch his breath. "Excuse me?"
Jim Kirk grinned at him. "You've been sitting there looking like you're ready to burst. Clearly you've got something to say. Spit it out."
A slow smile spread across McCoy's face. "That evident, huh?"
"As clear as Tarkellian soda."
McCoy leaned forward, his eyes shifting, assessing who was nearby. Kirk copied in, leaning in until their faces were almost touching. "This goes no further than the two of us?"
"As usual," Kirk agreed.
McCoy backed off some and took another drink of ale. "If he ever found out I told..." he muttered.
"You know I can be the soul of discretion," Kirk hurried to assure him. It was an exaggeration, but only a slight one. Now, if it had been Scotty...
McCoy shook off his indecision. Clearly the information was worth the risk. "Okay, last night Spock and I were in bed --"
"I'm jealous already!" Kirk interrupted.
"And I was rimming him --"
"Did you take pictures? Please say you were recording!"
"Quit interrupting," McCoy hissed at him. "Anyway, I was rimming him, which sometimes makes him come with just that..." He stopped, noticing the captain's eyes glazing over. "Jim!"
"Sorry, go ahead."
"Anyway, my tongue slipped and I got the area right behind his balls --"
"Old Earth slang." Kirk waved a hand. "And?"
"And he almost hit the roof!" McCoy chuckled. "I've never been able to find one single, solitary ticklish spot on that sexy Vulcan --"
"Until last night," Kirk finished.
McCoy confirmed it with a nod. "It almost ruined the mood." He toyed with the handle of his mug. "If you could have seen his face..." He giggled, expecting the captain to do the same. At Kirk's silence, he looked up.
Kirk was sitting back in his seat, face devoid of any kind of emotion. McCoy would have thought he were a statue if it weren't the devilish twinkle in his blue eyes.
A sinking feeling slid down McCoy's spine and settled in the center of his stomach. "He's right behind me, isn't he?"
"Good evening, Captain, Doctor." Spock's deep voice glided and pirouetted across McCoy's skin. "May I join you?"
Kirk gestured to an empty chair. "Be our guest." He bit back a smile. "Bones and I were just discussing... tongue twisters."
McCoy groaned and put his head in his hands.
"It's quite all right, Doctor," Spock said. "I will forgive your indiscretion. I'm sure it was nothing more than... a slip of the tongue."
